In brief it is repor­ted to say that human acti­vity is to blame for rising tem­pe­ra­tu­res aro­und the globe. To avert heat waves, mel­ting gla­ci­ers, and rising sea levels, there will need to be a severe reduc­tion in gre­enho­use gases, pri­ma­rily of those emit­ted from fos­sil fuels.
